Meet the 2024 Board

In January we held our annual board election and AGM so let’s introduce our 2024 SEA-PAH Board of Directors!

Domino | President | He/They

Domino is a southwestern raised pup, artist, dog wrangler, and self described 'he/they heathen' with a passion for kink, fetish, and queer culture and history.

They have served on the board since 2022, with a focus on making Sea-PaH a welcoming place for all pets and handlers. As Ambassador they sought to foster positive relations with other kink and leather organizations in Seattle and beyond. This year as President is an opportunity for them to invest in the organization's longevity by strengthening the operational side and supporting their fellow board members.

Edgar Allen Pup “Eddie” | Vice President | They/Them

Eddie is a former SEA-PAH board member ('21-'22) and an active community member since '20. Eddie has taken this past year off the board to focus on their personal life and career. However, with a new job and increased stability, Eddie is back again to proudly support their community as a board member. Eddie's plans for their term this year center around creating space for marginalized community members including 18+ individuals, BIPOC, as well as trans, femme, and other non-cis-gay-male identifying people. Eddie is excited to use their leadership skills once more and happy to give back to the community that has supported them so much over the years.

Nova | Treasurer | He/Him

Nova is continuing the work this year as board treasurer for SEA-PAH. He led efforts last year around ticketing for Camp K9, reduced costs for events, and led efforts around accurate accounting for the organization. Nova has been in the furry and puppy community for 15 years, moving to the Seattle area and joining SEA-PAH 10 years ago. In his free time, he's also the director at MFF and lead at BLFC, leading the Crowd Control departments. In his personal life, he is the head of a pack, dad to a few little puppies, dad to actual bio dogs and brings out the dad voice every now and then when any of them get out of line.

Sinnder | Secretary | He/Him

Sinn (or Sinnder if he's been a bad pup) went to his first mosh and Best in Show in November 2022. To get to know the community and make friends, he pounced into volunteering throughout 2023 at monthly events, Seattle Pride, Camp K9, Best in Show and more. At the 2023 Best in Show he won "Prettiest Pooch" and in January he was named "2023 Pup of the Year".Originally from Florida, Sinn is a fun loving, pizza devouring, jelly bean addicted, dirty minded, goofy pup who just wants to share his love of SEA-PAH and puppies to those around him.

In human form, Sinn's a UX Designer at a tech company and a Sound Engineer for his husbands Celtic rock band. He loves creative projects, movies, anything Marvel, traveling to England, sexual based humor, his husband and his 2 bio dogs, Cas & Po. He's also looking forward to pouncing on you. Awruff!

Tye | Ambassador | He/Him

Just like emerald body glitter, you can’t just get rid of this pup. Tye is back for his second full year on the SEA-PAH board. The former marketing director has now taken the mantle of the SEA-PAH ambassador, a position he is very excited for, but he will miss making all those puns. He was born and raised in Chicago and spent a decade in Florida (don’t blame me, it was for school). He moved to the PNW in October 2020 and joined SEA-PAH the following spring. A professional seaman, Tye enjoys the outdoors, knitting, crafting, and Pokémon. He has various houseplants, an aquarium filled with fish, and a bio dog named The Huffle.

Tye’s mantra is “Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t do”. Got some spare time? We’d love to have you volunteer for an event or help out on a committee. You can only come to the events? We’ll gladly welcome you with open arms! Too busy to make it out? That’s fine! We aren’t going anywhere, so come when you’re able. Either way you’re part of this pack.

Mint | Public Relations | They/Them

Say hi to Mint! This sweet pup hails from the wilds of Idaho and discovered the pup community during the 2020 lockdown by attending digital events put on from both Spokane and Seattle. After moving to Seattle in 2021, they dove head-first into the local pup and furry scene and can be spotted both at events and behind the scenes working to make the community a fun and welcoming place for everyone. They are a trained singer and are passionate about gaming, linguistics, and queer history. Sightings of Mint have been reported at light rail station grand openings, Seattle Sounders games, and furry cons across the country and they can be tamed with an offering of those pink and white circus animal cookies (you know the ones).

Oshawott | Marketing | He/Him

Why I Joined: During a lonely time in my life, a few friends invited me out for a social. I had never been and figured why not try something new. It ended up being a healing experience for me to see others who had similar interests and kinks. Went to a mosh the next morning and joined Sea-pah the next day. Ever since I try to make other pups and handlers feel as welcome as possible as they made me feel.

Hope to achieve: Wanting to give back to the community for making me feel so welcome and a fellow pup nominated me for the board because of my good heart. Using my skills with 3D animation and 2D graphics I hope to create more visuals, posters, and much more Sea-PaH content. While on the board I hope to be the best pup I can be and help out whenever possible.

Grins | Director at Large | He/Him

Grins has been a big fan of SEA-PAH for over 7 years and really enjoys his mat time at the Moshes. He's a good boy with a big heart and joined the board because he's always wanted to give back to the community that helped him find his way. He's a pretty knotty guy who likes ropes, floggers, and long walks in the park. He wants to help SEA-PAH become even more inclusive and supportive of the wonderful community they have already fostered. Seeing pups having fun at events makes Grins very waggy.

Well on Saturday, February 24th at 2:30pm meet up with Asher & other folks at Phoenix Comics and Games to be walked through creating a character for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition or Pathfinder 2nd Edition, & then learn to play that character & the game in a short single session adventure!

The first hour of this event is dedicated to character creation, so if you have already made a character come by around 3:30-4pm to hop into a one-shot, or come by at 2:30pm to help people make characters or play short board games while you wait! Interested in being a GM? Send a message on Telegram to @AsherThePup & he can answer any questions or concerns and provide resources for the task.

Community Notices & Events

Thanks to the vocal support and action from the queer community following the raids of several local queer bars, the Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board announced that they will be immediately suspending enforcement of WAC 314.11.050, the law that prohibited certain types of exposure (such as jockstraps) in places that serve alcohol. Time to show off your cutest jocks, puppies! We’d like to thank our local bars and community members for standing up for our community and protesting the LCB’s unfair treatment and regulation of our spaces.

F’in Precious | Feb. 16th

alt_text

F’in Precious is an 18+ party put on by the Center for Sex Positive Culture featuring ageplay and petplay-appropriate activities and music! We set out to make a fun and inviting space specifically for littles, pets, caregivers, handlers, primals, and furries - whatever your interest, everyone is welcome! This is a space for people of all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and styles of play to feel comfortable being themselves. Those who haven’t attended a CSPC event before are required to attend a new member orientation session just before the party. Please see the CSPC’s website below for more details and to buy your tickets.

A previous version of this newsletter confused our PR director Pup Mint with the United States Mint. It has been brought to our attention that Pup Mint is, in fact, just a puppy and as far as we know has never issued coinage on behalf of the US Treasury Department. We apologize for this error.
