Best in Show!

Bring your dogs and bring your dollars. Because Best in Show returns Saturday, November 11th @ The Lumberyard Bar! 

While performance slots are full already, we are looking for a few scorekeepers and stagehands. Email volunteer@seapah.org if you're interested.

 

W.E.T. Mosh

Mark your calendars! SEA-PAH, in collaboration with Washington State Mx Leather 2023 little Squirt, is very excited to be hosting a W.E.T. Mosh in November at The WildRose Bar. While open to everyone, a W.E.T. Mosh celebrates and emphasizes Women, Enby (NB, or Non-Binary), & Trans pups, pets, handlers, & friends. 

This mosh is intended to create a welcoming space for those who may not feel entirely comfortable in the more traditional 'cis-gay' dominated environment of SEA-PAH’s regular Mosh. At SEA-PAH, we've always believed in inclusivity, and all our events are open to everyone in the pet play community, regardless of where they identify on the gender spectrum. 

However, we also recognize the importance of meeting people where they are. By changing the venue, we aim to open the doors of the pet play community to a side we might not be currently serving as effectively as we could. This way, we can ensure that our events truly embrace and represent the diversity of our community.

 

Elections

 

Nominations for the SEA-PAH 2024 board of directors are now closed. This month all nominated will be contacted and asked if they accept or decline. All who accept their nomination will be put on the SEA-PAH board of directors election ballot, which will go out to all members in early December. 

The election will run from when ballots go out until January 14th at the beginning of the Annual General Meeting at 5pm.

Remember: If anyone is doing something you are not comfortable with and/or without your consent, please inform venue security, event staff, and/or a board member immediately. Consent is not only sexy, it is mandatory!

Dungeons & Doggies

Pup Asher is hosting a free Tabletop RPG learning night! Have you ever seen games like Dungeons & Dragons and wanted to play, but been too intimidated to learn or struggled to find a group? Well on Saturday, November 25th at 2pm meet up with Asher & other folks at Phoenix Comics and Games to be walked through creating a character for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition or Pathfinder 2nd Edition, & then learn to play that character & the game in a short single session adventure!

 

While you can show up day off, if you plan to go it would be greatly appreciated if you filled out this form letting Asher know what game you’re interested in playing (or teaching!) so that you can be put into a group ahead of time: https://forms.gle/8Cd5Sp5wxVpVwZkf7.

 

If you are interested in learning, we encourage you to bring a copy of the character sheet of the game you wish to play (D&D character sheets can be found here: https://dnd.wizards.com/resources/character-sheets make sure to print all 4 pages), bring any dice if you own some, & bring a device capable of connecting to the internet. None of these things will be required, though, & extra character sheets to use & dice to borrow will be available. If you’re interested in teaching, we encourage you to bring a copy of the core rules of the game you wish to teach. Copies of games like D&D and Pathfinder may be available, but more obscure games may not be. This event is estimated to last roughly 4hrs as making a character & playing a one-shot takes time.

 

Misc.

 

While visiting family, Pup Tye was able to visit the Leather Museum & Archives in Chicago. The museum featured, along with other leather history, an exhibit entitled “Pupping Out! A History of Canine Role Play”. The board will be gathering a collection of SEA-PAH items to donate to the museum’s archives to share SEA-PAH’s legacy.
