SEA-PAH Elections – By-laws Amendment Changes

Hello SEA-PAH Members!

On August 8th a special meeting was held to discuss a dilemma regarding our membership rules that the board has recognized as needing a resolution. SEA-PAH is limited in the venues by which we can have some events, one of which is the home bar of the Cuff, which has the capacity for our moshes and membership meetings. However, any member that is not 21 is not able to attend and therefore not able to fully participate in some benefits of being a member.

During the meeting the membership in attendance discussed and approved inclusion on this year’s election a proposal to create a new classification of membership called Associate Member. Anyone who joins the club that is under the age of 21 is eligible to be an associate member, as per the text below. While this amendment will give the board the ability to set the associate member dues to any amount, the board has pledged to set the cost of associate membership to $0.

The desire is to resolve the dilemma while also being able to hold events in the one venue that SEA-PAH has that is reliable and has the capacity for the membership in general.

The proposed amendment is presented below for your review and approval during the upcoming election.

Please contact any board member or a member of the election committee should you have any questions.
