December 2023 HOWL
It's a stressful time of year. Remember to reach out to those who can use a kind word.
One Love, One Pack~
The 2023 Board of Directors
It’s the Holiday Mosh! With the return of last year's ever so popular Reindeer Games! So grab your ugly holiday sweater and put that elf back on the shelf where it belongs.
Got you tickets for “Love Bites”? FetchNW will be visiting our mosh to give out badges to anyone who has purchased their tickets and wants to check in early to skip the line at the event.
Come on puppies! Time for walkies!
When? Sunday, December 17th @ 5pm
It's that time of year and we are headed to Woodland Park Zoo's nighttime holiday light show and festival, Wild Lanterns! So grab your leash, your mittens, and a cup of cocoa, and let's head to the zoo!
You can buy tickets and get more info about the event at https://www.zoo.org/wildlanterns
Make sure to buy your tickets for the 5pm slot if you want to walk with the group. We will meet at the penguin parking lot between 4:30-4:45 before heading inside
Want to stay warm this winter, but still want to show off your SEA-PAH pride? Well you're in luck! Introducing new SEA-PAH beanies & scarves! These hats & scarves are member exclusive items. Beanies are $20 & scarves are $30, but we’re hosting a holiday bundle only available this December, both the hat & scarf for only $40. They will be available at our monthly Mosh on December 9th and on our website shortly after.
Best in Show was a huge success, with about $2,100 raised for Lambert House!!
The W.E.T. Mosh proved to be very popular. Thank you to The Wildrose for hosting us, our volunteers for helping out, and everybody who came out! The SEA-PAH board’s goal is to host another W.E.T. Mosh sometime soon this winter. As always we are on the lookout for volunteers to help make events like this.
As many of us know, the November Mosh had a last minute venue change from The Cuff to Diesel.
Firstly, we want to thank Diesel for taking us at the last minute. They didn't have to, and we were happy to have somewhere to still mosh out and be puppies.
Second, The Cuff reached out afterwards to explain; Hunter, one of the bartenders who usually takes care of us, had a traumatic event on his way to work. You'll be glad to know he's doing better now. Our hearts go out to Hunter and his family and friends. Remember to tip him generously when he's well enough to be back behind the bar again.
The ballots for the SEA-PAH board of directors election have gone out. The election will run from when ballots go out until January 13th at the beginning of the Annual General Meeting at 5pm.
Note: previous editions of the Howl have the AGM on January 14th, 2024. That is a typo.
Remember: If anyone is doing something you are not comfortable with and/or without your consent, please inform venue security, event staff, and/or a board member immediately. Consent is not only sexy, it is mandatory!
